I am new to off-campus housing. Can you tell me a little about it?

The full college experience is available just minutes away from the University of South Florida. The Social at South Florida has undergone a multimillion dollar renovation but we are still committed to offering the most value for our students by meeting various housing needs with flexible leasing options and a wide array of amenities. Your individual liability lease will include a furniture package as well as access to all of our community areas such as our 24-hour fitness facility and our technology center that features iMacs, free printing, and much more! We have a newly renovated fitness center, outdoor lounge area, relaxing pool with free Wi-Fi, friendly on-site team, monthly resident events, and so much more!

How far is the property from campus?

The Social at South Florida is 1.5 miles from the University of South Florida campus near the intersection of Bears and Bruce B Downs Blvd.

Do you have to be a USF student?

No! In fact, with its convenient location to I275 and I75, The Social at South Florida is the ideal location for anyone! We have residents that attend Hillsborough Community College, The University of Tampa, Keiser University, and ITT-Tech!

Do you have a bus stop and how often does it run?

Yes! We have a Hart Bus stop immediately in front of the community. It runs every 30 minutes and has a mobile app that you can download to keep track of arrival and departure times!

I do not have any roommates in mind. Do you offer roommate matching?

Absolutely! Every student is unique, so during the leasing process we utilize our state-of-the-art roommate matching software that knows just the right questions to ensure the best matches possible.

What is included in the rent?

All of our apartment homes come with all utilities including a $40 electricity allowance, valet trash service, water, sewage, trash, internet, and cable with HBO! On-site parking is available free of charge for our residents.

Do you offer furniture?

Yes, each apartment home is fully furnished. Furnished apartments include a full size bed frame with mattress, dresser, night stand, built-in desk, and desk chair. Each living room includes a leather couch, club chair, dining room set, coffee table, end table, and a 40” wall mounted TV!

Do you allow pets?

Unfortunately, we do not allow pets.

What safety measurements are in place?

We want to do everything we can to ensure that you have a comfortable living environment. The Social at South Florida does have a controlled access gate that is closed nightly. Additionally, we have employed a nightly patrol to monitor the property each evening. We encourage all of our residents to report any suspicious activity to them and as always dial 911 for emergencies.

How do I pay the rent?

Rent is due on the 1st day of each month. We have an easy online payment system that allows you to pay any time of the day. You never have to worry about late fees if you opt into our automatic withdrawal option. You are also more than welcome to pay by check or money order in the office during regular business hours.

Can I pay up front?

Yes! You may also pay by semester.

Do you provide on-site maintenance? How do we report any maintenance related issues?

Yes, we do have on-site maintenance. Our online Resident Portal makes it easy to submit work requests online directly to our office team. Our maintenance team is great at quickly responding to our residents’ needs! You will know when your work is completed via email by receiving a satisfaction survey. We love to hear the opinions of our residents so that we can continually improve our services.

I am ready to live here! What is the first step?

Great! We look forward to having you! We ask that the resident fills out an online application. It only takes 15-20 minutes! If you are signing with a guarantor, they may also complete their portion of the application at the same time. It’s that easy!
